Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) is celebrated on 9 th January every year to recognize the contribution of Overseas Indian community in the development of India. The PBD conventions provide a platform for the government to engage overseas Indians from different countries on key issues concerning the Indian Diaspora, besides networking opportunities for diaspora participants. The main PBD Convention is held every alternate year. Theme-based panel discussions with participation of overseas diaspora experts and other stakeholders are organized in the intervening year. In 2021, the 16 th PBD was held in virtual mode on 9 January due to the Covid pandemic. Accordingly, the next PBD (17 th ) being held in January 2023 will be a main PBD Convention.
17 th PBD Convention
The 17 th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention is being held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh on 8-10 January 2023, with Madhya Pradesh as the Partner State. The theme of PBD 2023 is:
All members of the Indian Diaspora are encouraged to participate in the 17 th PBD Convention. All PBD participants should register on the PBD website (https://pbdindia.gov.in/register-now).
