Pre-Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention 2021
Posted on: December 04, 2020 | Back | PrintPravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) is celebrated once in every two years to strengthen the engagement of the overseas Indian community with the Government of India and reconnect them with their roots. During the Convention, selected overseas Indians are also honored with the prestigious Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award to recognize their contributions to various fields both in India and abroad.
16th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention 2021 will be held on 9 January, 2021. Prime Minister will address the Inaugural Session in the morning and Rashtrapati ji will deliver the Valedictory Address, in the evening.
As a run up to 16th PBD 2021, five PBD Conferences will be held. These will included keynote Address by Ministers from India and overseas, and panel discussions involving the Indian diaspora.

The event will also be live-streamed on ICCR's Facebook and Twitter.
(ii) Thursday, 10 December 2020 (1730-1930 IST) – Targeting US $ 5 Trillion Atmanirbhar Bharat Economy by boosting MSMEs
(iii) Monday, 21 December 2020 (1600-1800 IST) – Forging Media and entertainment partnerships to showcase India@75
(iv) Friday, 08 January 2021 – PBD Conference on Youth
