Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz 2018-2019 for NRIs and PIOs

Bharat Ko Janiye (BKJ) Quiz 2018-19

‘Bharat Ko Janiye’ online Quiz is open for overseas Indian youth between the age of 15 to 35 years as on 1st January, 2019 (Born not before 01st January 1984 and not after 1st January 2004). The Quiz will be held for two categories  - Non-Resident Indians (NRI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO).

Entry Fee:  NO ENTRY FEE.

Quiz Process: Quiz will be conducted in Four Rounds. Candidates need to complete online registration at portal www.bharatkojaniye.in to participate in the online/offline Quiz. 

First Round: First Round of Quiz will be conduted by Embassy of India, Vientiane online/offline at the portal www.bharatkojaniye.in or Embassy premises.  Top three finalists from each NRI and PIO category will be shortliested on the basis of scores secured and time taken to answer the questions. The Result of first round of quiz will be communicated to the winners.

Second Round: The top three contestants of the 1st Round Quiz from each category of NRI and PIO will qualify for Second Round (Online) to be conducted by Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Top 10 finalists in each category NRI and PIO will be shortlisted on the basis of scores and time taken to complete the round.

Third & Forth Round: 3rd & 4th onsite/offline Rounds of the Quiz will be held in two stages (Semi-final & Final) in India.  From the Semi-Final Round (third round), top 3 candidates in each category will be selected to participate in the final fourth round. Winners and runners up from each category of PIO and NRI will be decided on the basis of scores obtained in the Final round.

Bharat Ko Janiye Yatra 

• Top 10 candidates from each category of NRI and PIO from 2nd Round of the Quiz will be invited for a 15-day Bharat Ko Janiye Yatra including Lakshadweep and to participate in the third round.
  
  

• Government of India will bear international airfare and ALL expenses including boarding and lodging. Participants will visit Delhi, Agra, and one State for familiaraization.
  
  

• Other elements could be Visit to University, College, Institute, Industries, Village, one day orientation programme in Foreign Service Institute, New Delhi about India’s political, economic, foreign policy and other aspects, visit to historical, cultural, tourist places, interaction with the senior officials, policy makers and opinion formers.   
  
  

• 4-Star hotel accommodation on twin sharing basis, local AC transportation, boarding and lodging during stay in India.
  
  

• Participation in Youth Pravasi Bhartiya Divas in Varanasi, UP.
  
  

Prizes: Top 3 winners of the final round of BKJ Quiz from each category of NRI and PIO will receive Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and a Certificate.
