High Commission of India, Singapore will be organizing the ASEAN-India Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) in Singapore during 6-7 January, 2018. The theme of the PBD Convention is “Ancient Route, New Journey: Diaspora in the Dynamic India-ASEAN Partnership”. The two-day event will feature discussions on a broad range of issues with outcomes that deepens diaspora’s relations with India and their role in promoting closer ties between India and ASEAN; events to engage the diaspora youth; business events; and a gala dinner with cultural show. This is one of the important events planned in the run up to the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit in January, 2018, to acknowledge the role of the Indian diaspora.
Interested participants can register on the website http://www.pbdsingapore2018.org and pay a nominal registration fee of USD 150 (student: SDG 50), which will cover access to events on both days, meals and gala dinner. External Affairs Minister of India will address the PBD and host the Gala dinner on 7th January, 2018. In addition, Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India and Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Assam would also participate in the PBD.
