Advisory for Indians stranded in Laos due to COVID-19
Information about evacuation chartered flight to Delhi on 20.11.2020 by IndiGo
One chartered flight organized by the Embassy of Vietnam in Delhi and IndiGo will operate tentatively on 20.11.2020 on Hanoi-Vientiane-Delhi sector.Indian nationals stranded in Laos and desirous of travelling to Delhi may like to register with Embassy of India, Vientiane at link (http://www.indianembassylaos.gov.in/eoi.php?id=covid_19).Details of this chartered flight are:

Please note that seats available are limited in number and will be offered on first-come-first serve basis. Therefore, stranded Indians are advised to register their names at the above link as early as possible,latest by 10 November 2020 (6 pm Laos time).Those who have already registered their names earlier are not required to register again; their names will be forwarded to the agent of IndiGo for purchase of tickets.
Only those Indians registered with the Indian Embassy in Laos shall be offered to purchase ticket and carried on the flight.The agent will sell tickets on a first-come-first serve basis to those who have registered with the Embassy.However, while registering with the Embassy is necessary to become eligible to buy a ticket, as the number of seats limited and tickets are being sold on a first-come-first serve basis, there is no guarantee that tickets will be available when prospective eligible travellers approach the agent to buy tickets. Also before boarding, all travelers will be required to give an undertaking that after landing in India, they would undergo mandatory quarantine as per COVID-19 related protocols/guidelines issued by the Government of India (Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and Ministry of External Affairs) and the state/UT Government concerned.
All Indians nationals wishing to travel by IndiGo flight on 20.11.2020 shall be required to make payments directly to the Airlines (or their handling agent in Laos).It is clarified to one and all that this flight is operated as a chartered flight and Embassy of India in Vientiane has no role except for facilitating permissions.Any persons intending to take this flight will be doing so as a private contract with IndiGo (or their agent) fully and completely at his/her own risk and responsibility without involving the Embassy of India, Vientiane.For purchase of tickets,details of the local agent will be shared separately after finalization by IndiGo or its GSA.
All Indian nationals stranded in Laos are also advised to ensure that their visas have not expired by the date of boarding the flight.In case, anyone is holding a passport with expired visa then he/she should approach the Immigration Office for extension of Visa to exit Laos.Persons without proper documentation may not be allowed to exit the country.
